dam timers

well bought some digital timers for my lights....
the one for the halide lasted two days, have to get a contactor now

You must have just got a dodgy timer mate because a single 150w wouldn't need one. My old 2 x 150w were fine Smile

wouldnt turn off...when I googled it there is other ppl getting
the contacts welding even with a single 150w.its more to do
with the discharge when the lights turned off that kills the timers
rather than current demand when you turn them on.

£40...that must be a shop with big windows.
can get 4 gang contactors for £20 delivered lol

have to get a new 12v transformer for the leds too now Sad
ill just get a 2amp one this time.

what size is the contactor? I seen the cheaper ones on ebay but they were only 2k or something and I wanted to get a bigger version just to be safe. Different houses must have differents surges because when gary used my lights he didn't use one and had no problems.

no didnt see it on ebay, it was 4k one a online hydroponics site,
they use all the same lights an kit as us only they arent growing corals lol
