cyclop-eeze

Post  phantom on Tue Dec 21, 2010 12:51 pm

Just thought I would post a quick note on cyclop-eeze feed.
basically its a 10 legged microscopic crustacean that is then
freeze dried and sold to us to use on our tanks.I first heard
about this product when I was trying different feeds for
a cleaner wrasse,it was said on an american site that they
liked this stuff so I thought what the hell.so I started using
the powered version which you can get on ebay for about
£15 posted.when I put any in my marine or freshwater thanks
the fish would go mental.now it is a very fine powder so you
dont use much(about 1/3 of the total food fed) and it spreads
very fast with a quick stir from the powerheads but remember to
turn your pumps off.now the fish were not the only thing that liked
this food,I noticed the likes of my Gorgonian was fully polyped
about ten minutes after feeding.also the likes of sun corals, trumpets
all had the feeders fully out.so now I use it everyday and the corals
as well as the fish love it.
try it and see as you wont be sorry.....

With my tank being mostly Sps I turn the skimmer and return pump off for an hour but leave my powerheads on insuring the food gets a good flow around the corals. I try to feed my fish seperate in which ill turn the powerheads of giving the fish a chance to catch the food.
+1 on cyclop-eeze though great food
